Description
Birmingham 1898 English hallmarked solid silver hinged top card case, a fine hard to find Victorian example from a private collection.The shaped edges form a very attractive plain band around the foliate and scroll bright cut engraved design to front and back. The centre cartouche holds a lovely family crest and motto "Persto" meaning to remain firm or steadfast.
Weight-heavy at 80 grams.
Size-4 inches long by 2.75 inches wide.
This card case will hold business cards, calling cards, and credit cards. It is a fine piece for a collection of novelty silver, or would make a great gift for an important occasion.
In very good condition.
