Description

Circa 1880 Victorian ivory and silver card case in the form of a book, with concertina style blue silk gilt edged divided compartments for calling cards.
This very nice card case would have been originally used for calling or visiting cards, but can now be used for business cards. The ivory is a mellow creamy colour and it is mounted on the front cover with an unmarked silver shaped and pierced cartouche engraved with the owner's initials.
Size-4.25 inches long by 3 inches wide by .5 inches deep.
Weight for shipping-80 grams.
The interior has a holder for a pencil (not included).
Some of the silk lining on a couple of divided compartments is fraying a bit.
It is in good condition overall, with a very nice patina, grain and colour. A nice addition to a collection.
