Description

Chester 1905 solid English hallmarked silver six lobed, bowl or dish on three animal monopodia cast feet. Made by James Jay, and includes the original hand blown shaped liner.
Repouse floral decoration to three lobes, all different.
A very unusual bowl, and with excellent weight and craftsmanship.
Size-5 inches across (not including handles) by 2 inches high.
Weight-145 grams silver only, 330 grams with liner.
The Chester assay office closed in 1962, and is therefore a very collectable hallmark in its own right as well.
