Description

19th century very unusual cast gilt metal trefoil mirror plateau or stand of generous proportions.
The beautifully crafted stand has an engraved top edge, a beaded bottom edge, and stands on three cast shell embellished feet. At each join of the three curves is also an applied cast figure of Bacchus, the god of wine.
This is a wonderful stand to hold decanters as shown (decanters sold separately), or to showcase any centrepiece, candlesticks, epergne or bowl.
It is a heavy piece, with a wood back, and contains the original glass.
Size-14.5 inches at widest point, by 3 inches high.
Weight-2.7 kilos.
In very good condition with just some very attractive light wear to the gilding.
An elegant and unique piece, sure to have pride of place in your home, on sideboard or dining table.
