Description

Sheffield 1922 wonderful quality English hallmarked solid silver deep bowled sauce boats made by renowned makers Mappin and Webb.
Elegant and classic with very deep bowls, beaded edges, and with cast and applied flying scroll handles having acanthus leaf carved thumb rest. The whole stand on three cast hooved feet surmounted with an acanthus leaf.
With thick gauge, they weigh 580 grams or over 18 troy ounces of silver.
Size-7 inches long by 4 inches wide by 4.25 inches high.
Condition is very good with just one small mark to bottom.
A lovely high quality pair of deep bowled sauceboats, with high sides, to grace the dining table.
