19th century Victorian boxwood and ebony carved and turned chess set in the original mahogany slide top box.Of large size and very good weight, this is a lovely style set, which will complement any chess board or games table.
Size of king-3 5/8 inches high by 1 5/8 inches wide.
In very good condition overall, with black king missing top of finial.
An impressive, beautifully turned antique chess set, which would be wonderful to own or to give as a gift.
It is a great experience to play with an antique set.
