Description

Birmingham 1918 very nice English hallmarked solid silver spoon of Scottish interest for the Burgh of Kingussie, (pronounced King-you-sea), a lovely town within Cairngorms National Park, in the Scottish highlands. Kingussie, (Gaelic: Ceann-á-Ghuibhsaich: the head of the pinewood) is the traditional capital of Badenoch, the area of the upper Spey Valley in the Heart of the Scottish Highlands.
Both the gaelic and English names surround the lovely Kingussie crest.
The cast silver terminal leads to a beautifully split stem over a pointed bowl.
Made by Robert Chandler.
Size-4 3/8 inches long by 1 inch wide.
Weight-15 grams.
In very good condition, and very functional, this would appeal to both collectors of spoons and Scottish silver.
