London 1889 unusual Victorian English hallmarked solid silver and ceramic spherical shaped antique match striker or holder, made by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings Shepherd.
More often found in glass, this is an unusual and attractive combination.
Size-2.5 inches by 2.75 inches.
This match strike is still functional for its original use, as well as being a lovely table or desk ornament.
With some light marks to silver only, this is in very good condition.
