Description

Lovely Victorian Sheffield plate revolving butter dish having a naturalistic cast branch frame, and engraved with ferns.
Made by Fenton Brothers, this was a superior piece at the time it was made.
A double ivory turned button lifts the high domed lid, which then retracts fully flat underneath the base. There is a very attractive armorial engraved to the front of the lid.
In very good condition, with some rubbing to the interior bottom plate only.
Size-9 inches wide including handles by 5.75 inches deep by 5 inches high.
A great dish for butter, sauces, or smaller portions of food.
In very good condition, and a unique size.
