19thC cut glass and silverplate claret jug
19th century cut glass baluster shaped claret jug with cast and applied silver plate mounts in the form of trailing vines, leaves and grapes, with naturalistic twisted grapevine handle, over a beautiful cut glass body, with star cut base.
A grape bunch and leaf form the finial, and the interior is gilded.
This claret jug is of superb quality and both the cut glass and the silver plate are in excellent condition.

20th century Danish solid silver bar service.
Danish solid silver lovely and unusual bar service comprising a set of 4 pieces of bar ware in the original fitted case, and made by W & S Sorensen. The set comprises a corkscrew, bottle opener, ice tongs and long handled pierced stirring spoon. The "worm" of the corkscrew and the opener hook are steel.
Danish silver is very stylish, and these pieces are no exception to the rule. The long spoon has a delicate rat tail to the heel of the bowl, and a pierced design to the bowl itself. The stem is beautifully tapered and with a curved end. The sprung scissor action tongs also have an elegant banding to the handle, with a twisted design at both top and bottom of stem, and leafy grips, also having a rat tail.
The curved and thick tapered design of the cork screw handle makes it very comfortable to grip, while the bottle opener handle is a thicker version of the spoon.
The case is a grained patent leather type design with two catches.
Size-spoon-9 5/8 inches long, tongs-6 inches long by 2.5 inches wide, corkscrew-3.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches long, bottle opener-5.5 inches long.
Total size of case-7.25 inches wide by 10.75 inches long.

Beautifully crafted, and of heavy gauge and weight, these cups stand on a shaped stem on a round pedestal base, and have a turn over lip to the bowl.

Birmingham 1909 set of 6 English hallmarked solid silver liqueur tots or shot beakers with gilded interiors, in the lovely and striking original fitted leather velvet and silk lined case. This was made by Sydney and Co, and is now exactly 100 years old.
A wonderful set for the liqueur or spirit enthusiast, who might also enjoy vodka or other shots as well. Also excellent for the hunter or fisherman.

Gorgeous early 20th century sterling silver gilt and enamel set of 12 cocktail sticks or fruit picks, designed in the form of cockerels.
These very elegant sticks have 6 different pairs of hand decorated cockerels. They are set into the original beautiful gilt embellished blue fan shaped case, with silk and velvet lining, opening with two doors, and having two gilt latches.
The stunning enamel colours of the well modeled cockerels, stand out beautifully against the silver gilt sticks.
Size-3 3/8 inches long by 5/8 inches wide.
These would make a very useful and lovely gift for someone who entertains, or for the silver collector.

Sheffield 1937 solid silver superb and unusual brandy saucepan.
Sheffield 1937 English hallmarked solid silver heavy brandy sauce pan or brandy warmer made by Cooper Brothers and Sons. This is used to warm brandy before pouring it into the brandy glass. Most civilised!
Beautifully made, in a very heavy gauge of silver, this has a lovely turned wood handle, a pouring lip, and a couple of graceful engraved lines near the bottom of the pan. A classic design.
Weight-155 grams.
Size-5.5 inches wide by 3 inches high by 3.25 inches diameter.
Usually found in pewter or silverplate, this solid silver saucepan is for the brandy enthusiast, or is a perfect gift for the person who has everything. Also useful for warming butter, sauces, hot milk, and gravy.

Circa 1800 pair of hand blown and engraved rectangular spirit decanters with gilt embellishments and the original stoppers.
With curved thumb cut engraved bordered shoulders, these decanters have bunches of grapes engraved on the wide sides, and star cuts on the short sides. The shoulders are embellished with a gilt painted foliate design. The stopper is also gilt embellished and has facet cut sides.
There is a rough pontil to the underside of each base.
Size-approximately 9.25 inches tall by 3 3/16 inches side by 2 3/8 inches deep.
Weight-885 grams total the pair.
These decanters may have originally been fitted into a decanter box, and would be very suitable to use as antique replacements for lost ones.
In addition, they are lovely on their own to use for spirits, or as containers for oils and potions in a bathroom.
They also make beautiful decorative pieces.
Four matching decanters are being sold in two pairs (see last photo). This listing is for one pair. One pair is fractionally taller than the other.

Heavy English solid silver drinks coaster retailed by the famous ASPREY and Comapny of London.
Very heavy English hallmarked solid silver coaster tray for bottles marked for luxury retailers Asprey and Company of London, and made by Naylor Brothers for them. The base bears both marks. Hallmarked for London 1948.
Asprey of Bond Street in London, only sells superior quality luxury wares. This is a lovely heavy piece, which would look wonderful on the table to hold a bottle of wine or champagne. It will also work well on the desk as a desk tidy, or a dressing table for trinkets.
Size-4.75 inches diameter by 5/8 inches high.
Weight-160 grams.
