Heavy English solid silver drinks coaster retailed by the famous ASPREY and Comapny of London.
Very heavy English hallmarked solid silver coaster tray for bottles marked for luxury retailers Asprey and Company of London, and made by Naylor Brothers for them. The base bears both marks. Hallmarked for London 1948.
Asprey of Bond Street in London, only sells superior quality luxury wares. This is a lovely heavy piece, which would look wonderful on the table to hold a bottle of wine or champagne. It will also work well on the desk as a desk tidy, or a dressing table for trinkets.
Size-4.75 inches diameter by 5/8 inches high.
Weight-160 grams.
Just professionally polished, this is in very good condition. New photos to be posted.

Lovely famous Stuart crystal decanter set and stand retailed by renowned retailers Mappin and Webb.
Very good quality English Stuart crystal decanter set comprising a large cut glass decanter and 6 stemmed glasses plus a mahogany and brass stand as well as the original deep blue and silver Mappin and Webb gift box. They were the retailers of this set.
Both the decanter and glasses are beautifully cut to catch the light. The decanter has thumb, diamond and slice cuts with a banded flared neck and cut mushroom stopper. The glasses are similarly cut. All pieces have star cut bases.
The circular mahogany stand is great for display on table or bar, and for storing the set. All the glass is acid etched Stuart on the bases. The stand has a protective baize base under.
Appearing to never have been used, the whole set is in wonderful condition.
Stuart crystal has been in production for more than 200 years. This fine English crystal is known as producers of cut glass in the traditional way.
Size-decanter is 9 inches high by 4 5/8 inches wide. Glasses are 5 inches high by 2.5 inches wide. Stand is 10.25 inches diameter and 7.25 inches high. When the glass is inside the stand it is 10 inches high by 10.75 inches wide.
Weight-approximately 4.7 kilos total.
A wonderful gift for anyone, or even as a corporate presentation.

WATERFORD cut crystal set of six Boyne pattern claret or wine glasses.
Set of 6 Boyne pattern claret or wine glasses by Waterford, famed maker of Irish crystal, in mint condition.
This pattern is no longer made, but could be special ordered at 81.00 plus VAT per glass (unknown if ordering is even still possible with recent bankruptcy filing by Waterford). It also takes 6-12 months to make and ship them.
These are lovely, beautifully cut all over, and sized 4.5 inches high by 2.5 inches wide.
Weight before packing total approx. 1.5 kilos.
A wonderful value in excellent condition, with no chips or damage.

Circa 1900 beautiful heavy cut glass claret jug with silver plate mounts by famous makers Martin and Hall.
Circa 1900, late 19th century/early 20th century heavy cut glass claret jug by famous makers Martin and Hall, in bulbous shape. With beautifully engraved silver plate mounts that echo the shapes of the cuts in the glass, and elegant strapwork handle, this is a wonderful piece to use or display.
The deep cuts in the glass catch the light beautifully, and it stands on a footed starcut base.
Size-approximately 11 inches high by 5.5 inches wide, with 5 1/8 inch diameter base.
Weight-1.2 kilos.

Birmingham 1938 English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass whisky jug with hinged lid, also called a tot or noggin, meant for serving individual portions of whisky. Made by William Suckling Ltd of Albion Street in Birmingham, and complete with lovely hallmarked Birmingham 1936 solid silver whiskey tot label and chain made by the same makers.
Originating in Scotland, and used for "go to bed" sized servings, these are most sought after pieces for collectors and whisky aficionados.
With conical shape, star cut base, generous curved handle, and bulbous curve under silver lid, the glass body is classic and lovely, a very elegant design.
The hinged lid solid silver top has a beautifully curved and angled thumb catch.
A great gift for the whisky drinker perhaps accompanied by their favourite bottle, sure to be appreciated in the evening in the study or drawing room. Also, a lovely piece for the collector. Undamaged and complete examples with tot labels don't come along often.
Other compatible uses are for water, vinaigrette or cream.

London 1969 excellent solid silver and cut glass tall decanter by Preece and Williscombe.
London 1969 English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass tall tapering decanter with mounts made by Preece and Williscombe.
This decanter is beautifully and deeply cut in graduated sized diamond cuts to the body, a star cut pedestal base, and star cut stopper top, with the balance of the stopper having the same diamond cuts.
It is very weighty and excellent quality, and a very unusual and elegant shape. It catches the light beautifully
Size-13.50 inches tall with stopper or 10.75 inches without stopper, by 3.75 inches wide.
Weight-heavy at 2.2 kilos.

Rare Birmingham 1895 Victorian solid silver swizzle stick designed as a realistic golf club.
Birmingham 1895 English hallmarked solid silver swizzle stick in the form of a realistically modelled golf club iron! A perfect gift for the golfer to use when mixing and serving cocktails.
This lovely and unusually uncommon piece has very clear hallmarks, a very realistic wrapped grip effect, tapering shaft and club head. It is in very good condition.
Made by James Fenton of Great Hampton St. Birmingham.
Size-8 inches long.
Weight-25 grams.
The original fitted case which keeps it secure for storage and transport is also included, however the case is only in fair condition.
A very unusual and well made presentation for a swizzle stick, which will be sure to be a talking point. A great gift for the collector of novelty Victorian silver, the male or female golfer, and the drinks enthusiast. It would also make a great presentation gift at a golf tournament.

Beautiful set of 6 cast solid silver gilt cocktail sticks or fruit picks in the form of realistically modelled cockerels. These fine quality marked sterling silver sticks are double struck, or decorated on both sides of the finial. They are contained in the stunning original fitted tortoiseshell patterned design case, which bears the stamp of a jewellery retailer in Cape Town on the interior.
