Description

Appearing to never have been used, this mid 20th century superb gold encrusted Porcelain Ball pattern bone china dinner plate by famous maker, Minton, is contained in the original satin lined presentation box.
Minton holds the Royal Warrant as the china manufacturer to Queen Elizabeth. Their goods are known for fine craftsmanship.
This pattern was considered one of Minton's most opulent patterns. The wide anthemion borders at the outer and inner band edges surround an acanthus & floral scroll pattern inside. The gilt pattern stands proud of the surface.
The reverse bears both the Minton gilt and impressed marks, as well as the painted pattern number 5161 T.
Size-plate 10 5/8 inches diameter. Case 11 1/8 inches square by 1 3/8 inches high.
Weight-645 grams plate only, 1.1 kilos in box for shipping.
This stunning plate will look lovely on the table to mix with other gilt plates, add to a service, or use alone as a striking piece to use to serve dessert or cake.
It is in wonderful condition, in the original box, and would be a lovely gift for an important anniversary, wedding or celebration.
