Description
19th century bronze bust of Dantes mounted on the original oval wood plinth.A very reasonable piece for desk or table, which would make an attractive paperweight or decorative item.
Size-9.5 inches long by 8.5 inches high by 5 inches deep (overall).
Well modelled, with a nice rich patina.
In overall very good condition. There is a hole on the top of the head, and some small holes on the face as pictured, reasons unknown. May possibly have been a student or test piece perhaps.
A great value, and quirky piece for desk or bookcase, to use as a paperweight, bookend, or potentially to be made into a nice lamp.
The bust separates from the plinth for transport.
