Description

Birmingham 1934 Art Deco English hallmarked solid silver unusual table sized cigarette or cigar box, made by very good makers, Adie Brothers.
Square in shape, and with rounded corners, the plain sides are highlighted by an engine turned engraved top, having a geometric Art Deco vacant cartouche to centre.
The rising lid reveals a fully lined cedar wood interior. The lid is attached to the case with a full length flush mounted hinge, while the base exterior is leather lined to protect the table surface.
Still very functional for its original purpose for holding cigarettes and small cigars, this box is also perfect as a desk tidy, a jewellery box for cuff links, watches etc., or just a lovely table ornament.
Size-3 3/8 inches square.
In very good condition, and with very good quality and gauge of silver. This is ready to use for yourself, or to give as a wonderful gift.
