19th century cast brass French inkstand with flowing foliate design and pen rests.
19th century lovely French inkstand made in cast brass, and with all over flowing foliate design. It comprises a central inkwell with original porcelain liner, and curving rests for 4 pens or pencils if desired. It is raised on four leaf feet.
With impressed marks to underside, G.L. No. 3, depose.
Beautifully modelled, this is a wonderful piece for desk or table.
With one very old repair to original porcelain liner inner edge, this is in very good condition.
A very elegant and functional piece.

Birmingham 1934 solid silver day of the week calendar.
Birmingham 1934 solid silver day of the week calendar on stepped weighted mahogany base with complete double sided faux ivory celluloid day of the week card inserts numbered 1-31.
Each day a card is removed, reversed and replaced to display the appropriate day.
Made by Samuel M. Levi Ltd.
This is a nice small piece for desk or dressing table in good antique condition with one flattened spot to top edge as seen and some tiny marks.
Size-2 inches diameter by 2 inches high.
Weight-90 grams.
A very functional and useful solid silver piece at a very reasonable price. It is great that all the day of the week cards have been retained.

19th century Victorian white metal engraved propelling pencil with amethyst inset capstone.
19th century Victorian unmarked white metal untested propelling slide pencil with engraved leafy decoration to the body and amethyst inset capstone.
Size-4 1/8 inches long open, and 3.25 inches long closed.
Weight-15 grams.
The collar around body pushes down to bring pencil to full size, and pulls up to close. The top unscrews for lead storage.
A beautiful pencil to use or display, with just one minute chip or file mark to top bevelled edge.
In very good condition overall.

Victorian unmarked solid silver gilt propelling pencil with gadrooned trimmed garnet capstone and leafy engraved decoration.
Size-3 1/8 inches long open, and 2 5/8 inches closed.
The collar around the body pushes down to propel pencil to full size, and pushes back up to close. The top unscrews for lead storage.
A beautiful pencil to use or display. Lovely alone, or with a gold or silver book, notebook or writing box.
In very good condition and very good working order.
