1919-1939 Karl Ens handpainted porcelain figure of mallard.
1919-1939 lovely handpainted Karl Ens figure of mallard with pre WWII green backstamp, from the Volkstedt factory in Germany. This is a very well regarded factory.
The colours are beautiful, and the figure is well modelled.
Size-5.75 inches high by 5.5 inches wide.
A really lovely figure in very good condition.
There were two similar mallard figures formerly in stock, and this is the last one remaining.

Circa 1869 lovely Victorian porcelain covered tureen dish on pedestal, hand painted with insects and flowers.
With impressed registration diamond for January 22, 1869, a lovely hand painted porcelain tureen with cover on pedestal base. The base and cover are painted with various insects and flowers, and it has twin ribbon handles and finial.
It is coloured beautifully, and also has gilt embellishment. There is also a pattern number on both pieces "a 6144."
The tureen has a very old and collectable rivet repair underneath, near the handle on the base.
A lovely and functional dish to use on the table, or to display as a centrepiece. It would even look wonderful in the bathroom to hold soaps or the like.
Size-13.25 inches long by 9 inches wide by 7 inches high.

Swansea Pottery blue and white willow pattern plate with Dillwyn impressed mark.
Circa 1824-1850 Swansea Pottery blue and white willow pattern plate, marked with the impressed mark Dillwyn in semi horseshoe shaped surround to the reverse.
The Swansea, Wales Pottery factory established in 1764. In 1802 Lewis W. Dillwyn bought out his partner, Haynes. Porcelain was first made in 1814 about which time L. L. Dillwyn and Bevington were the proprietors. Dillwyn left in 1818. Bevington & Co. were owners until 1824 when the Dillwyn returned and operated the factory until 1850. The firm was Evans & Glasson until 1859 and then Evans & Co. until 1870 when the factory shut down.
This is a very collectable make and a very popular pattern.
Size-approximately 9 7/8 inches diameter.

19thC porcelain hand painted and gilt English moustache cup with charming verse.
19th century Victorian gilt and hand painted moustache cup with built in support for moustache and with quaint verse:
"I wish you health, I wish you wealth, I wish you gold in store, I wish you heaven after death, what could I wish you more."
The cup is meant to keep a man's waxed moustache hairs out of his hot tea!
A lovely cup in good condition with some wear to the gilt.
Size 4.5 inches wide by 3.25 inches high.

Circa 1810 Regency period pair of bat transfer porcelain spill vases with gilt decoration.
The vase on left has transfer pattern of a woman, and is in perfect condition.
The vase on the right, with the pattern of a man has been broken and restuck in the past, but is included for symmetry and display, if desired, as it is always nice to have a pair.
Lovely items, nearly 200 years old, with one in excellent condition.

Early 20th century chinoiserie china 7 piece sandwich service by Burgess Brothers.
Marked for 1922-1939, a Burgess Brothers china sandwich set comprising one rectangular serving dish and six square plates, in a chinoiserie design.
Size-plates 6 inches square, serving dish 13 inches by 6 inches.
These services were used by ladies when serving sandwiches or cake during afternoon tea, bridge games, etc. The sandwiches or cakes were presented on the serving dish, and then people helped themselves using the individual plates. They are still lovely for the purpose, or whatever use you wish.
With some minor wear to the gilding, and a small chip to the underside of the large serving dish edge, in good condition overall, and a great value for 7 pieces.
Very stylish shapes for today as well.
A pretty and practical set.
