Description

19th century Victorian very striking light oak glazed library bookcase cupboard. The two door glazed top has the original glass and encloses adjustable shelving.
The top sits on a cupboard base, which is divided by an interior shelf, and has a cushion drawer above.
A flared cornice and acanthus leaf carved detail embellishment to top and bottom corners, and rounded corner detail to doors, accent the piece beautifully.
The whole sits on a plinth base, and comes with the original key, which works both locks.
The colour and patina is lovely.
Crafted from oak and other hardwoods over a pine inner carcass. The interior is stained pine with an oak edge reveal on the shelves, while the exterior is combination solid and thick oak veneers, which reduces the overall weight.
Divides into two pieces for easy transport.
Size-79 inches high by 40.5 inches wide body, or 44 inches wide across top cornice, by 15.5 inch deep base, or 9.5 inch deep top.
A very elegant and functional bookcase for books, storage or display pieces, in a size that will work in any home and any room.
A wonderful and stylish storage solution, in a colour that will work with any other woods and decorative schemes.
In very good condition.
