Circa 1815, stunning Regency period mahogany breakfront side cabinet with green marble top.
C1815 English Regency period superb mahogany breakfront side cabinet with green marble top over cupboard base.
The top is beautifully grained green marble in breakfront form over a breakfront cupboard base having three brass inlaid drawers over doors with brass grilles over pleated pale silk fabric. There are two adjustable shelves to each of the three sections of the interior.
The middle section is accented with pillars and brass capitals. It is truly a classic piece.
An elegant and useful piece of furniture, suitable for use as a server, chiffonier, sideboard, or bookcase, with proportions to fit any room.
This also makes a fabulous drinks cabinet!
Size-54.5 inches long, by 15 inches deep, by 34.5 inches high.
Wonderful craftsmanship, colour, and patination, and with original keys.
In very good condition.

Superb Regency period, circa 1820 pale mahogany inlaid secretaire chest with secret drawers.
Absolutely stunning Regency period pale mahogany secretaire chest with lovely boxwood, fruitwood and ebony inlay and a number of secret drawers.
The fall front drops to reveal a green tooled gilt embossed leather surface and 8 small ivory handled line inlaid drawers and 8 pigeon holes with shaped dividers and with double width line inlaid serpentine fronted drawers over. These surround a central beautifully line and fan inlaid locking cupboard (with key) having vertical ebony swag inlaid secret drawers to either side. There are also 3 secret inlaid drawers in the frieze, that spring open when released from underneath.
Underneath the fall front section of the chest are 3 large drawers for storage.
The top of the piece has a moulded edge, while the corners are classically fluted. The whole stands on shaped bracket feet with additional inlay above the front feet.
The brass gadrooned handles are original and very attractive.
Size-48 inches wide by 21 inches deep by 51.5 inches high.
This is a wonderful and unusual piece for dressing, writing, computer, storage and display.
With excellent figuring, colour, and patina, in very good condition, this is a substantial and wonderful chest for any room.

19th century fabulous curved settee or chaise with original gilt carved frame.
Wonderful 19th century superb curved chaise or settee with sensuous curves and beautifully carved wood frame having the original gilding. The graceful curves of the carved wood frame are echoed in the upholstered seat and angled back.
Approximate dimensions-72 inches long by 40 inches wide by 34.5 inches high.
This has been completely professionally reupholstered in a luxury pewter and gold fabric, and stands on the original casters.
A stunning feature for any room, and very comfortable as well. A real talking point, and a rare survivor of the period. Although you may see Victorian show wood settees, you will not often see gilt or curved settees.
This would have been originally made for a very fine home.

19thC solid oak carved library centre table
Victorian beautifully and fancifully carved solid oak library table with full length drawer in frieze in wonderful condition. Mask carved edges to top with turnings, over bulbous legs terminating in fish serpent feet. Carved centre stretcher.
It is decorated and finished on all sides allowing placement in centre of room if desired.
This table has an interesting provenance. It was owned by Audrey Curling of Chiswick, award winning author of romantic novels and historical fiction, who lived 1909-2007. She did her writing at this table, and the drawer was full of her important book related papers. Newspaper article, biography and photo included.
A sizeable very unusual table in excellent condition, which would make a wonderful centre or library table or desk.

Superb circa 1830 rare mahogany cellarette of sarcophagus form with carved corner brackets and hinged rising decorated top aesthetically carved with heart shaped corners to top edge. Wonderful original colour and patination, with original fitted interior for storing bottles of wine and liquor and decanters, and original lock and key. The cellarette stands over hidden castors.

Circa 1900 English rosewood bureau de dame (ladies writing desk) of small proportions in the French taste. Wonderful craftsmanship with floral fruitwood and boxwood marquetry inlay to fall front and below, and line inlay to rest of piece.

Interior with 5 pigeon holes, 3 fitted and inlaid drawers, and rare hidden sliding covered well. New antique leather writing surface to interior. Gilt metal pierced gallery to top, and ormolu detail to top and bottom of graceful curved legs. Beautifully and professionally polished on all sides, allowing central room placement if desired.. Rare collectable Victorian original "Fry's Choice Chocolate" mahogany display cabinet.
Rare Victorian Fry's Choice Chocolate mahogany shop display cabinet with original glass sides, shelves, mirrored interior back and lining.
Fry's chocolate, in business since 1759, became Britain's biggest commercial manufacturer of chocolate by 1822. They produced the first chocolate Easter egg in the UK in 1873. The company merged with Cadbury in 1919, jointly becoming the British Cocoa and Chocolate Company.
"J.S. Fry & Sons Ltd" is carved into the front lower wood base, while the front glass is beautifully etched with "Fry's Choice Chocolate," as well as the Royal appointment crest.
An extremely lovely original cabinet with 3 glazed sides, and mirrored back.
When these are found, they are usually found with either replacement or missing parts. Often the front etched glass or the sliding mirrored back doors have not survived. This cabinet is all original and intact.
27 inches wide by 26.5 inches high by 15 inches deep.
It would be a great cabinet to house a collection of small antiques, glass or the like, or to use as a shop display.
Great talking point.

Circa 1900 Edwardian period mahogany bijouterie display cabinet in the Chippendale style.
Circa 1900 Edwardian period mahogany very unusual display cabinet in the Chippendale style. The arched cornice with pierced scrolling foliage and blind fret and dental carved borders, stands over 3 glazed sides, with two doors enclosing a cupboard divided by two shelves. The top stands on a fabric lined bijouterie base, also glazed on three sides and with hinged and glazed top.
The blind fretwork carved legs taper to spade feet, and are joined by a shaped stretcher shelf.
Size in full is 30.25 inches side by 74 inches high by 18 inches deep. Display top only is 7 inches deep.
A truly elegant and very unusual cabinet to proudly display any collection.
With original key.
Separates to two pieces for transport.
In excellent condition.
