Circa 1800 George III period solid mahogany drop leaf dining table.
Georgian solid mahogany rectangular drop leaf dining table with square chamfered legs and simple gate leg mechanism, standing on brass castors.
A wonderful table with original patination and colour, and very nice grain.
These tables were made to last, and have stood the test of time. They are as at home today in modern interiors, as they were when built. Very comfortably seating 6 people when in the open position. However, with the leaves dropped, it will store into a small space, and can then be set up as required. Perfect for smaller homes and flats!
The simple Georgian design complements any decor or style of home beautifully.
Size-39.5 inches wide by 56 inches deep by 30 inches high when open. With leaves down, reduces to 39.5 inches by 18 inches.
A very attractive and most useful antique dining table, with just a slight warp to the top, in very good condition overall, and with great age.

Circa 1860 wonderful Victorian carved walnut upholstered open armchair in very good condition.
Circa 1860 Victorian carved walnut open upholstered arm chair with lovely curved, shaped, and unusual pierced back, and scroll and leaf carved arms. The deep sprung serpentine seat stands over cabriole legs with brass castors.
Upholstered in attractive neutral pattern to go with any decor.
Very comfortable and with good proportions.
Size- 26.5 inches wide by 25 inches deep (seat) by 43 inches high.
If back is put flat against wall, with the projection, it is approximately 32 inches deep to middle of seat.
A great chair for any room, with lovely colour and patina, in very good condition.

Circa 1810 Regency period bowfronted chest of drawers.
Circa 1810 Regency period figured mahogany bowfronted chest of drawers having two smaller drawers over three large ones, and supported on out swept bracket feet with shaped frieze between. A very elegant and useful chest of drawers.
Size-42 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 30.5 inches high.
This is one of the nicer examples, with wonderful figuring and colour.

19th century set of 5 solid oak carved chairs with grape and leaf carvings, and interesting provenance.
19th century set of 5 solid oak hand carved high backed chairs. Note the wonderful quality-the handcarved twisted sides twist towards each other, and the time consuming grape and leaf carvings.
The set comprises 3 chairs with full wood seats and back, and 2 having cane inserts to back and to seat, but otherwise they are the same height, back angle, very similar carving etc. One of each is shown in first photo.
These chairs have an interesting provenance. They were owned by Audrey Curling of Chiswick, award winning author of romantic novels and historical fiction, who lived 1909-2007. She did her writing at the carved oak library table on this site, and these chairs were grouped around the table. Newspaper article, biography and photo included.
A lovely, and very sturdy set of chairs.

19thC Victorian solid mahogany bookcase cupboard.
19th century late Victorian all original solid mahogany (not veneered) bookcase of lovely proportions with unusual breakfront architectural top.
The top glazed section has two shelves, and stands over a panelled cupboard divided by one shelf to interior. The whole is surmounted with a lovely architectural cornice, and stands on a plinth base.
Lovely original colour, patina, and glass, and with two original keys. The excellent proportions will allow this to fit into any home. Many bookcase cupboards are simply too high or too wide for modern homes.
39.25 inches side by 16.75 inches deep, by 75 inches high to the point on the cornice.
Separates into two pieces for transport.
In very good condition, and a very useful piece for books and storage or to display collections.

The arch topped back is very nicely upholstered, and surrounded by a carved frame.
The serpentine shaped seats are overstuffed, also have a carved frame, and stand on carved reeded legs.
Both back and seat are upholstered with a very nice neutral fabric, which will blend with any decor.
Size-34.75 inches high by 16 inches wide. Seat is 17.5 inches wide by 17 inches deep by 18.5 inches high.
A very sturdy and attractive set of chairs in a warm colour of walnut, with an attractive patina.
