19thC large carved gilt wood bergere chair
Late 19th century large carved gilt wood bergere chair with arched and carved back extending to acanthus carved and scrolled arms. Caned back and double caned sides, over caned oval seat with removable custom hardbacked cushion. Oval seat over turned and carved tapering legs.
A wonderful example of Louis XVI style in very good condition, with original gilding.

19th Century Victorian solid mahogany tilt top table.
19th century Victorian solid mahogany tilt top rectangular table standing on a beautifully turned column and shaped quadripartite legs.
In lovely condition, and of generous size, this table is useful for dining, cards, tea, or serving. If not needed permanently, top tilts up allowing table to fit into narrow space until needed.
Size 19.5 inches wide by 32 inches long by 29.75 inches high when open, or 49 inches high when table is tilted up.

Circa 1900 Edwardian figured mahogany and inlaid bowfronted corner cupboard on stand.
Circa 1900 Edwardian period beautiful bowfronted figured mahogany and inlaid standing corner cupboard of small proportions.
Top section with two glazed bowfront doors encloses two shaped shelves. The cupboard below is comprised of two working drawers with a door opening to a small cupboard section inbetween the drawers.
The whole stands on tapered legs joined with a beautifully shaped stretcher (could hold something like stacked towels), and has the original lock and key.
Condition is very good. One glazed door has been reglazed with perspex at some point in the past, and it could be replaced with glass if desired. The look is not affected by this, and the price was set accordingly.
Size-65.5 inches high by 26 inches wide.
A very elegant, well crafted and useful piece, in ready to use condition. The small proportions will allow it to fit in any room.

Edwardian period very stylish and unusual inlaid mahogany elbow chair with pierced back and sides.
Edwardian period inlaid mahogany elbow chair, inlaid with boxwood, fruitwood, holly and ivory inlay.
The unusual design has an oval back, pierced with radius cut slats. The sides also are slatted, and bow inward, while the arms terminate with scroll ends. The front legs have a feature inlay inset over the knee on each leg. All sides except the back also have line inlay on each leg, arm, side and inner back, which accent the elegant shape.
The seat is upholstered.
Size-24 inches wide, by 21 inches deep, by 34.25 inches high.
A really unusual chair with a lovely colour and patina, that would suit any desk, or would be a great occasional chair for any room.
Very comfortable, with a generous seat, and in very good condition.

Circa 1900 elegant Edwardian period solid mahogany inlaid tub chair, with great shape and style.
Edwardian period solid mahogany stylish and shapely tub chair with serpentine front seat and standing on cabriole legs.
The wonderful curves lines and points of the frame form distinctive shapes around the upholstery. The top frame is outlined with boxwood, and also has a bit of carved fan detail.
The lilac upholstery contrasts very nicely with the wood, and helps to make the chair quite eye catching.

Handmade stool or coffee table made early 20th century legs and 1920's vintage hand loomed hemp linen fabric.
Hand made stool built using 1920's wood legs attached to a custom made base, and newly upholstered with organically produced 1920's hand loomed French hemp linen material. This material was originally made for grain sacks. This particular fabric also bears the monogram of the original owner.
A very charming and useful stool, made in the maximum size for these sacks, with a red and green stripe, and the initials Z B on a cream ground. This is a very sturdy fabric and style, and will work and blend with any decor.
Size-40.5 inches long by 23.75 inches wide by 19.5 inches high (to centre).
The stool is very well crafted and firmly padded for use as a coffee table and/or extra seating, as seen in many interior design magazines.
If a different size or material is preferred, I can order in whatever size you like, covered with the material of your choice, and your choice of legs. Traditional needlepoints and various rug coverings are also available.

19th century wonderful and unusual mahogany bijouterie topped table with two shelves and drawer.
19th century very unusual bijouterie topped washstand table with serpentine shaped frieze below, two shelves and a drawer, and standing on tapering legs.
The bijouterie top has a hinged rising lid and original blown glass top and sides. It is lined with velvet and is perfect for displaying collectables or jewellery. Below the top, there is a full width shelf above a drawer crafted with fine handmade dovetailed joints, and having an original brass pull.
Finally, there is a beautifully shaped and tapered stretcher shelf with a circular framed display area in the middle for a jug, vase or any piece you wish.

Early 19th century unusual and original rectangular tilt top table having the original iron catch, and standing on tripod feet.
The tilt top is solid oak, and stands on a beautifully carved elm pedestal base, with lovely shaped tripod feet.
The colour, patina and grain are very good.
Size-23.25 inches wide by 26.75 inches long by 29 inches high. When tilted up, the table is 42 inches high overall.
This is a wonderful and useful table for occasional use, dining, games, tea or wine.

18th century Dutch unusual display cabinet on stand.
18th century Dutch unusual painted solid wood display cabinet on stand with three glazed sides and double doors.
With original glass and lock and key, this unusual piece is suitable for display with storage below, for any room. It is painted off white on the exterior with gilt embellishment, and blue on the interior, but could be changed to any colour or stripped.
Typical Dutch top with arched moulded cornice having carved detail to centre, interesting shaped glass doors to front, and arched glass to sides that echo the shape of the cabinet. The piece flares out wider from front to back. There are two fixed and shaped shelves to the interior.
The whole sits over spiral carved turned legs united by a stretcher shelf below, and stands on bun feet. The lower section can be used for electronic equipment display or even stacks of towels and linens, while the upper section can be used for display of any kind.
Size-41.75 inches wide across back, and 31.5 inches wide across front. 66 inches high to top of arch. 15.75 inches deep.
There is one small crack to the upper glass on one side panel. The glass is fully intact and strong.
A very unusual and decorative piece with great age, as well as being very functional. A great free standing piece for a bathroom to use for towels, linens, oils and potions. Or a wonderful piece to display any collections, or to use for glass or china storage in dining or living room.
In very good antique condition overall, and with great age.

Circa 1770 Georgian mahogany open armchair of generous proportions. Curving and pierced ladder back over sinuously curving arms terminating in scrolls over drop in seat on square legs. Gorgeous patina and colour.
A wonderful period example, suited for desk or occasional chair, as well as being very comfortable.
